Who let the CAT out?

Scams seem to be the flavour of the season. Not even the student community has been spared with the leakage of the CAT papers. Having written the exam some years back, I can relate to the agony the students have been put to. Alas we will have to wait till the CBI enquiry is over and the guilty punished. The need of the hour is also to restore the credibility of public exams where the future of many are at stake.
I really hope the students can overcome this and give their best when the exams are rescheduled in February. Hope Rajan too comes out triumphant this time! He has in fact become a veteran at CAT, but I believe it is worth the wait.
It also did give some more news for the ever thirsty channels. It may not be a bad idea to have a channel exclusively for covering scams! I could not stop my sarcastic smile when I saw most of the students interviewed saying that they would have got into the IIMs this year, if not for the cancellation.Think everyone can afford to say that. The same old, "if not"...dialogue!God save me...
The Abhijit Kale incident too is turning out to be an opportunity to settle some old scores. I was amazed to see one of the familiar names join in, Vanka Pratap.I used to hear tales of him hitting the Kerala bowlers all over the Medical College area, while playing in the ground out there. I did know that politics was a major issue in Hyderabad cricket, right from the time I used to play at the junior level. Hence it is no surprise to see a lot of cats coming out.
And England won the rugby WC beating the Wallabies in one of the most exciting WC finals ever.I actually read it later. Couldn't see it because, our friends at incable are still continuing with the black out.
Tomorrow is another day...
