Corruption...

Satyendra Dubey has got the intellegentsia of the country to publicly unite against corruption. That it needed a gruesome murder of an IIT trained engineer to erouse the duty of every citizen, is a reflection of the society we live in. The news item which got initial coverage in the Sunday Indian Express is slowly developing into a nation wide movement. But it remains to be seen what eventually happens to the story. I feel each one of us contribute towards corruption in some way or the other. Unfortunately those small instances of bribing people to get things done, no longer fall under the new meaning of "corruption". The current society accepts it as a norm than an exception. I think this battle against corruption will never be won unless, each of us strive to make things better in our own small way.

Yesterday I learnt to do a conference with my mobile and effectively used it in linking up my room mates from IIFT, Panky and Akella. A small techology in a big world!

The espn-star black out still continues. But our cable operator has managed the signals somehow and that means, the Indian tour is not being missed. The way the Aussies are batting, I would imagine that it may be a good idea to have a wall put all around the boundary which ricochets the ball back to the bowler, everytime it is hit for a four. A small luxury considering that runs scored in a day is around 400.

Btw zee music is in:-) Anish say that it plays "our" music. ie hindi songs from the 90s, the time when we were in the late teens and early twenties. If any one still wants to hear Ashiqui, tune into the channel and the chances are that it will be on the screen.

Another funda, I learnt recently...ZEN as in Maruti Zen means zero engine noise!
