Happy Weekend...

The match on Saturday was good primarily because of victory to the Lupin team. We made 103 runs in 15 overs. Yours truly had a score of 17, opening the batting. Though I should have stuck around to get near the 50s, it was a confidence building innings. Our opponents scored 91 in the stipulated 15 overs. The one big difference between when I used to play for DRL two years back and now is that there is hardly any pressure on me to perform. Another plus from the match has been the higher cohesiveness in the team. I have always believed that a team game is a reality check on the individual. In fact sports is the true test of character! This victory will augur well, as we near the E-Merck cup in January.

It was my first visit to Navy Nagar and the Navy Club. I did not imagine, there could be a vast stretches of land in South Mumbai, which will include amongst other things, a golf course. Courtesy an acquaintance and an accommodating host, dinner happened there on Saturday. Well, for people who wish to go there, here are some tips. The dinner including the “bar”red part closes by 10.30 pm. So make sure you go well before the time. And never take a chance on your attire. My advice is that one should keep it simple. Leather shoes and shirt nicely tucked in! Preferably take your own vehicle, especially if your engagement goes on into the night. It is a long way to go if one has to walk down to take a cab. Key take aways – A wonderful place, good company and some insurance fundas:-)

Sanjay went back to KL yesterday. Its around 3 months to his wedding.

The soccer score yesterday night was 5-3 to us. Winning does really help!
