This is a lean period. With majority of the customers falling in the western world, there is hardly any work these days. This trend is expected to continue in the next week too, with new year coming up.
Having said that I also come to one of my genuine findings from the corporate world. That I started reading a Dilbert book yesterday is purely coincidental. If I were to put work in perpective, it will go like this. Please forgive my use of the ever-excessively used 80:20 principle. Here it goes. 80% of the work is done in 20% of the time. And rest of the work doesnt count for much in any case! Also, I might add that 20% of the people do 80% of the work. In other words, there is not enough work for most of the people. This might not be music to the self-styled workaholics but I stand by what I say. Organisations run inspite of such inefficiencies, and come up with results to cheer!
This is not to say that one must not work hard. But in fact the idea is to move beyond your work and understand that, you have enough time for other activities.
Sanjay is down here to meet his fiance.I am meeting him after a gap of 2 years. The midnight mass on x'mas day seemed to go on and on...People who were present would know better!
Tomorrow is another match day. I havent hit runs for a while. And defeat as usual will hurt. Sometimes, I feel that games are to be played for the fun of it. However it is easier said than done.
Defeat is indeed a spoiler...
